The Classic Tales Reviews

500 five-star reviews and counting! Read what satisfied listeners around the world are saying about B.J. Harrison and The Classic Tales.

All reviews are published through the iTunes Music Store, Audible.com, and The Wall Street Journal

There are some voices in the world I could listen to forever, and to that list I must now add BJ Harrison. I enjoy a good story telling very much, however, the time I get to hear any are now so few and far between that I gave up hope of ever hearing another decent one again. Thank you so much for introducing me to the classics all over again. It's truly touching to know that some out there still know that at heart, we are all still hungry for a harrowing tale of adventure, a mystery that stumps us until the very end, or a spine tingling tale that might just make you unpack the night light.

-Memoir, 5 stars

I was totally taken away by the podcast. Excellent work Mr Harrison.

-Breeze Jackson, 5 stars

Very good acting, well produced, high quality sound, and truly classic tales!

-mep3, 5 stars

Highly recommend this podcast to any book lover especially those who love the classics. B.J. Harrison's voice is perfect for these timeless tales.

-cre8tvP 5 stars

This is an excellent way to hear classic literature at my convenience. Professionally read and produced. I look forward to the next episode.

-Evan23, 5 stars

Great selection of literature, that is flawlessly read by Mr. harrison. mr. Harrison's enthusiasm and character voices draw you in, and every podcast leaves you well entertained. His purpose is to bring back those classic stories and it it being achieved outstandingly. You will be surprised, as was I, when you listen to how well this podcast is produced.

-APDrew, 5 stars I'm always impressed when someone takes their huge talent and a large chunk of their time and gives it away for free. B.J. Harrison has a beautiful voice and does a wonderful job of bringing to life all the characters in these classic stories. Some I've heard, some are new to me, but they are all wonderful. Thank you for upping the turn-out to once a week! This is right up there with Wait-wait and This American Life on my list of the podcasts I most look forward to every week. You will not be disappointed!

-CeciliaLibra, 5 stars

This podcast is extremely well done. BJ does a great job at telling the tale. The production level is very high. I have never read the classics. But I am enjoying them so much through the Classic Tales Podcast that I am now going to start. Thanks BJ!

-comictommy 5 stars

This is an AMAZING podcast-very engaging and very well done. My only complaint is the wait between episodes.

-nephari 5 stars

This podcast is an excellent way to hear classic stories by amazing authors that we all know and love. B.J. Harrison has an amazing voice that keeps the reader intrigued throughout the track. I definitely recommend this podcast!

-A Little Fall of Rain 5 stars

I listen to these in the car, and I find myself taking the long way to work just so I can continue listening. BJ has renewed my interest in the classics. More please!

-thatgirl31 5 stars

I loved the character voices. It made the stories feel believable. I couldn't stop listening!!! Great idea for a podcast and I will DEFINITELY be subscribing to this. LOVE the photo, very dramatic and handsome.

-McKenzieD 5 stars

Throw this on your iPod and take it driving-great way to fill the drive to work with something worth listening to. Well read and well chosen material. Good job!

-theNakedSaint 4 stars

I downloaded two of these stories to try, and my 11 year old spent over an hour listening on a long car trip last weekend. She could have chosen to listen to her favorite Gwen Stefany song 30 more time (she actually does that sometime, she's 11) but stayed with the story and paused it periodically to update me on the story details. She loved it! B.J. Harrison does a fabulous job with the narration.

-ivyamelia 5 stars

Would love to give this full five stars, but I can't. I just can't. The selections are wonderful and Mr. Harrison does an EXCELLENT job. However, I have a real problem when he speaks in his pseudo accent. I understand that when in character this is necessary, but when he slips into his affected Frasier Crane speech it is very distracting. Otherwise, this is very entertaining, indeed

-amiguita 4 stars

This has got to be one of the best podcasts ever! You can imagine every scene, and it is easy to understand. I highly recommend this podcast.

-Some_Dude 5 stars

Terrific! Too good to be free, but grateful that it is so.

-Zeptepi 5 stars

I have always wanted to read the "classic tales" of our time, but seems that with my schedule I can never find the time. I want to commend BJ on his performances of reading the tales aloud. He allows me to "read" the stories of old while I work or drive. His voices, annunciation, and even the professional clarity and sound of this podcast is top notch. Be sure to get "The Raven" on hi site at theclassictale.com. Keep up the superb work, BJ! And thank you.

-puppycat 5 stars

Finally a guy who can take a good story and make it into a performance. The character voices are great. I like the choice of content too. Can't wait to hear more!

-Harold47

I love literature. This podcast is extremely well-done, as BJ Harrison narrates stories by various authors. He has the perfect voice for reading these stories, and, as I said, this podcast is extremely well-done. Give us more, Mr Harrison!!!

-Gelhead_says_U2_is_the_bomb 5 stars

Professional but not stodgy; warm and intelligent. A relaxing and refreshing delight.

-PictPeach 5 stars

I look forward to this podcast, it's like reading all your favorite stories...but you can do other things while someone else is reading them to you. Such excellent stories and what a great job by B.J. Harrison. I'd love to hear all my favorite short stories...I just wish the podcasts would come more often. Keep up the good work and I'll definitely keep my eyes open to your other projects.

-LINA80 5 stars

I have enjoyed each one of The Classic Tales podcasts. BJ Harrison does a wonderful job bringing each character thus each story to life. He has a wonderful voice and I appreciate how he has put it to use. I wish him continued success and look forward to each new podcast.

-glebox 5 stars

I grew up loving books. They gave me a great advantage in school over my classmates. But with time, failing eyes, family and busy work load, who has time for a good book? Anyone now! Classic Tales brings to life the novels with the spoken work and your mind's eye. You can "read" a good book on lunch or at work. For the month of October, classic horror ready me and my son for Halloween. Great way to introduce a modern teen to "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." I knew he never read it but listened to it, ahh! If you miss good books or need to get someone interested in them, Classic Tales is for you! Thank you Mr. Harrison for bringing back my love of books!....and for my free download of The Raven.

-Captain34 5 stars

BJ's rendering of A Christmas Carol was one of the best I've ever heard, and I've heard quite a few. I am so grateful for his crusade to bring quality literature to us free of charge, and will continue to download and listen faithfully. I don't find his accent affected, just educated! And what's wrong with that?

-chi-j 5 stars

Listening to The Classic Tales on a boring road trip...Mr. Harrison's voice and selections were perfect for me. There are plenty of voiced I am unable to take but I can listen for hours to the Classic Tales Podcast. Good Job!

-Camille Bennett 5 stars

This is a wonderful podcast. BJ does an excellent job reading these classic stories. So many gems out there to be uncovered and enjoyed. Thank you!!

-Calif guy 5 stars

Many thanks to BJ for raising the bar on entertainment these days. Not only is this podcast totally fun, I'm amazed that someone is willing to do this for free. The time spent researching stories must be considerable, let alone reading them. BJ is also very openminded to suggestions and tries hard to present many of the stories and authors people are asking for. This podcast is great fun on those boring commutes to work, or those times when 160 television channels are showing nothing but trash.

-Ftroop818 5 stars

The selection of tales is nearly perfect for what is available. People who have complained need to realize a few things: 1) Mr Harrison has to choose short stories from the public domain. It just so happens that most "classic tales" are already there. 2) Many classic tales are, uh, by definition OLD. Complaining about the narrator's "accent" makes little sense. Mr Harrison has to choose a voice that doesn't sound like it's someone from 2008. Some people have wondered why he sounds British--well, urm, a few centuries ago many Americans were only a few generations removed from England, and most of the authors showcased in this podcast are from nineteenth-century America or else actually from England. Does Mr Harrison's accent sound phony? I don't know, I never really thought of it as an "accent" but as an effected (and effective) reading voice. I'm an American living in Britain--but like most people I'm not two hundred years old, so I've never heard "accents" from a century or a century and a half ago on either side of the Atlantic. I would imagine that genuine voices of people from those times would inescapably sound "phony" to some listeners today. Moreover, this artificial quality is sort of the point. If I'm listening to Dickens read aloud, it would displease me NOT to hear a Victorian-era voice. If I'm listening to Twain, I want to hear an old American accent much like the one Mr Harrison provides. Is his reading voice perfect? No, but I think it's very good. Do I think he puts a lot of emotion into certain passages? Yes. Too much emotion? Sometimes I think so, when I'm not particularly into the story. But I don't think he "hams it up" too much. I've never found his voice or accent to be a problem. Sometimes I want reverence and (slightly reserved) enthusiasm for the classics. Sometimes I want to hear sophistication and excitement for our American literary heritage and the heritage of many European writers from the past centuries. Not only is it escapism--to imagine how these authors lived, how they managed to write--but it is edifying. This podcast gives me that once a week. I love it. It's a shame that there aren't other podcasts like it, completing with it, being inspired by it, trying to outdo it, just as those featured writers from centuries ago were inspired by each other with each tale. ...I don't understand one reviewer's "Frasier Crane" comment. Frasier Crane wasn't British, but I guess anything "smart sounding" must be British, right? I guess "talking smart" is just an intolerable crime to some ears. Maybe when Mr Harrison reads some of these sophisticated or wordy, purple-prose authors (e.g. Poe) he should just not read the words that are there or read them in more of a Homer Simpson voice? Thank God for this podcast. It's my one hour a week of contemporary entertainment media that is actually smart, enjoyable and literary.

-Warwol 5 stars

What is nice is that he sounds good, the main problem with other literature podcasts!

-nish1026 4 stars

You can't go wrong with this, Great voice, great literary choices. Truly worth the time. I use my shuffle for audio books, this podcast is going on it. Incredible!

-AussiePhoenix 5 stars

BJ Harrison flawlessly reads a wide range of literature, changing accents, and giving a short history of the piece or author. It's a very engaging podcast well worth checking out.

-Blatant JO 5 stars

BJ has a wonderful voice and really makes these classics come alive for me! Especially enjoyed the Life Of Our Lord. Keep up the great podcasts! Thanks so much.

-Gideonguy 5 stars

Ok so i'm an every day guy and i can't say that ive ever really been interested in reading the classics let alone reading at all... i just happened to stumble up on this podcast and it's great... i get to learn about classic literature all the while not having to put a book up to my nose and strain my eyes (one of the reasons i dont like to read). This podcast is of the highest quality and ive intruduoed many other people to it and they love it as well .... a must have on the old ipod...

-whoiscid 4 stars

I'm 52, started a walking program for my health, and searched around for something to put on my ipod to take my mind off of the chore of exercise. I found it! Not only does B.J. Harrison read these stories with such elegance and intensity that I find myself quickly at the end of my walk wanting more...l'm also becoming familiar with classics that l've unforgiveably neglected over all these years. What a treat, what a joy, and what a literary education! Thanks so much Mr. Harrison! ?

Vaalea 5 stars

Harrison's style isn't for everyone, but his smoothly changing persona from one character to another is impressive. Those reviews that state his voice is 'over the top', are not listening with a mind that Mr. Harrison is intentionally giving a classic character actor performance. Although there are a very few editing hiccups at times, let's give the man a break! He is reading excellent literature at no charge on a weekly basis! I submit that 99% of the population oould not do nearly as well. I thank you for this enjoyable podcast.

-Jason Hanson 5 stars

This is a very entertaining podcast. BJ is a ver good story teller and reader. Highly recommended.

-Jessica S 4 stars

Up front you must devote at least 45 minutes at a stretch to do this podcast justice. And, dont plan on falling in love with every single story. lf you dont dig a story, pass it by. But when this podcast works, you feel like you found buried treasure.

-rex x 5 stars

This podcast is one of my favorites now. The stories are excellent. Mr. Harrison does a fine job in his reading. Delivery is smooth, acting is natural. Highly recommended.

-RobRog 5 stars

This is the best literary podcast I have found. The narration is superbly voiced, and the stories are well selected.

-Greg Christensen 5 stars

Wonderful podcast idea. Well done.

-Verena artinger 5 stars

I really enjoy this podcast! I am so glad that I subscribed to it. The stories are wonderfully narrated and they really help pass the time at work for me! :) I listened to episodes 01-04 today (The Cask of Amontillado,The Speckled Band,Barbara of the House if Grebe, Part One, and Barbara of the House of Grebe, Part Two) They were great! Can't wait to listen to the rest!!

-mrsbran 5 stars

This is probably my favorite podcast. Ive always enjoyed reading but the older I get, the less free time I have to sit down and read. This podcast allows me to enjoy classic tales while I'm driving or doing other chores, which is an excellent use of my time. Harrison is a fantastic reader and the selection of works have been immensely interesting. (lt wasnt until I heard the Sherlock Holmes podcasts that I remembered I *HAVE* read the stories, AGES ago. Thanks for reminding mel)

-DanteRocks 5 stars

I am really glad I found this podcast. I enjoy the length of the shorter stories and like the 'cliff hanger' chapters of the other stories. Sinoe I use my iPod in the car, this makes commuting much easier and I like that the narrator puts some life into the characters. Job well done.

-Wozbud 4 stars

I love this podcast. It is a great selection of short well known stories. Very entertaining and more convenient than a book.

-tammersandmash 5 stars

A fantastic podcast. The stories are wonderful, and Harrison does a remarkable job reading them.

-DinosaurKing 5 stars

This is the best story-based podcast out there - hands down. To put in as few words as possible: Do NOT pass this podcast up. Harrison's rich and melodic voice is so pleasing to listen to and he handles each story with such mastery it is a delight to hear each story. Subscribe. Listen. You wont be dissappointed.

-Zundel 5 stars

The stories featured are widely varying and yet consistently wonderful. All are classics for good reason! Mr. Harrison's compelling dramatic readings are a joy to hear. lcannot recommend this entertaining and addictive podcast enough. It's simply excellent!

-ELHB 5 stars

This is a great podcast! If you enjoy a well read book you will love this podcast! This is a wonderful way to introduce your children to the classics. Listen together and then discuss them

-CarmieJo 5 stars

Mr. Harrison is the Bomb. I love his way of reading each story. His enthusiasm and energy brings to the front unforgettable personalities to the characters in these classic stories. Thank you so much!

-RB 5 stars

BJ does a phenomenal job presenting classic tales to the modern day podcast listener. He has the perfect voice for capturing the tone and emotion of such wonderful tales, and his selection of works shows a tremendous amount of sophistication and taste.

-boxwinesocial 5 stars

I own a large collection of audio literature that cost me well over a thousand $s. I recently stumpled over The Classic Tales Podcast. Recording quality and content on this site is mind blowing!!! And free for the most part: Tarzan and the archieve run about a penny a minute. Thank you B.J. Harrison!!!! Next to the BBC you are the best deal out there!

-GTAJR 5 stars

I listened in for the first time today as Mr. Harrison read a Sherlock Holmes tale and was wonderluly delighted in the presentation fo the tale. Mr. Harrison paints an wonderful picture upon the palete ofthe mind as he uses intonation and pitch to add depth to each story.

-David Pike 5 stars

Absolutely wonderful! lt's nice to be able to listen to these on long trips and walks. Harrison's voice is controlled perfectly throughout each show, and the readings are all wonderful.

-64student 5 stars

This reader is fantastic. The audio quality is superb. The stories are brought to life. The best compliment I can give this podcast is this: after a few minutes of listening, lcompletely forget that I am listening to one man reading a story. I am drawn into the tale and feel like l'm in the story myself. Bravo, Mr. Harrison!

-MathLady81 5 stars

Classic Tales is great even if you have never read "the classics." It's a fun way to get used to the tempo, writing style, and narrative nature of older literature, something that puts young people off of the classics. In addition to that, listening to BJ can make you a better orator and that makes reading out loud easier and more fun. Keep up the great work! Highly recommended for all.

-Hermes777 5 stars

This podcast is one of my favorites! I love being able to listen to a story as Ido my work or just sit down and hear a story I've never heard before!

-bookworm103 5 stars

I have been listening to his Podcasts from the beginning. Ithink he is fantastic. And Iagree with another writer - it is a great thing that he reoords these for free. Iam also excited that Audible has picked up on him and is selling his books and past items. I would never seek out these stories, but I love that I have the opportunity to listen to them. I am too busy enjoying them to notice his accent, except to expect his accent to be of the period. I think he is an excellent reader- right up there with Jim Dale! And I 'read' all my books on tape - usually one a week as I live in Manhattan and take a lot of buses. I also exercise regularly, and have been known to double my time on a machine just to finish a podcast. I hope he keeps them coming as I, too, look forward to them, and mostly listen to them immediately. Thanks BJ. You are a gem!

-JANE DRAPER 5 stars

I love it. The stories are interesting and well read.

-mddrph 5 stars

I've listened to plenty of professional audiobooks, and bj is equal to the best of them. He makes the classic books oome alive. My drives are much nicer now that I've found his classic tales. I am grateful! Thanks, BJ.

-scrabble 5 stars

Think it is a wonderful way to listen to stories lgrew up hearing and imagining too. Good choice on voice. Like the Edgar Allan Poe thrown in there.

-Honest Carter 4 stars

These are great, thank you!

-omamav 5 stars

Thank you very much for this podcast first and foremost. lt was helpful for my creative writing class since my teacher advised us to read the classics for examples of good stories. This podcast is excellent and great to listen to. B.J. Harrison is a fantastic narrator, I mean superb!

-genichka 5 stars

This podcast has me anxiously awaiting every week for a new story. BJ Harrison selects varying stories without being bias to length (Heart of Darkness vs. Bernice Bobs Her Hair). Highly recommended podcast for anyone who enjoys Selected Shorts. Harrison's voice is wonderful, especially for British accents, like Hound ofthe Baskervilles. However, southern accents arent his forte. I'm hooked.

-One-fan 5 stars

I love this podcast! I look forward to each new episode. If you ever wanted to read the classics but don't have time this is perfect.

-Sarahks 5 stars

It is amazing that we can get these high quality short stories for free! but make sure you sync them right away because the author takes them off after a week or two.

-Kkrino1024 5 stars

This is by far the best podcast. I have enjoyed listening to this podcast and look back often for any new ones. If you like the classic tales this is the podcast for you!

-vermontlavender 5 stars

B.J Harrison has a great and wonderful talent using his voice to cover many different characters very admirably. I have yet to tire of listening to this podcast, and wish that episodes came out far more frequently. If only he would do all of the Babblebooks podcasts, replacing that horrible computer generated voice Babblebooks uses...

-Code10 5 stars B.J. Harrison brings a real treat to each of his listeners. Every week, he produces a work that is enjoyable and easily understood by all audiences. His tone, diction, and enthusiasm for the short stories he reads bring listeners into the world of the work. Sincerely a must-have for literature fans, and anyone searching for a good story. Highly reocomended. -countgridlock 5 stars

I have been a fan of audio books for years and Mr. B. J. Harrison is the best reader there is! I bought Joseph Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness' red by Mr. Harrison and was blown away! I highly recommend anything read by this talented man.

-mbrown8351 5 stars

BJ Harrison is truly gifted. Thank you for such a wonderful podcast.

-Meca S. 5 stars

B.J. Harrison is a very entertaining performer with generally very good taste in stories. He's also friendly and helpful when contacted by email if you have problems with downloading, purchasing or playing his other audio books. I look forward to every episode of his podcast! A class act all around.

-Matthew Green 5 stars

This is wonderful podcast. I have heard tales that I never knew about before and alter listening to them, google them and look up read them. Truly, many are tales I have never heard of so the classic tales podcast is not only entertaining to hear but introducing me to stories Ive never read before. B.J. Harrison does a wonderful job.

-Lynn Ellingwood 5 stars

B.J. Harrison does a great job with the timeless classics. With a 1 hour-each-way mmmunte, I am delighted to have found a resource that responds to the classics with such grace, care, and quality. I stay engaged, even in bumper-to-bumper. Thanks B.J.!

-Joseph Wainer 5 stars

I love that he puts so much emotions into his readings. Also, these recordings sounds very clear.

-Thao Ho 5 stars

I've been enjoying this podcast for 2 years. This has got to be one of the BEST podcasts on iTunes. B.J. Harrison is a good reader. The stories are good tales and fun to listen to. If you like the Classic tales andfor if you like to hear someone read a book to you, get this podcast. lt's great for kids too!

-totallyfrozen 5 stars

I am subscribed to quite a few podcasts, but this is the only one that I listen to religiously. The podcast has fantastic content, is performed spectacularly well, and comes out quite frequently given the amount of work that must go into it. B.J. Harrison has clearly had a great deal of theatrical training, which is evident in the many different accents and voices that he can produoe at the drop of a hat. Bravo! I especially enjoy listening to the Classic Tales while taking long car trips. It makes the ride fly by.

-Ms. W. 5 stars

I listened to the "Tell Tale Heart" 4 times in two days.

-topher car 5 stars

BJ does amazing work both on and off the podcast. The vocal performanoe is amazing and the choice of stories is magnificent. Thank you for adding a bit of elegance and showmanship to my iPod.

-Brushie Tundra 5 stars

This guy is fantastic. I am a dedicated listener. His voice skills are simply amazing, and the literature he reads is all top-notch. I'd recommend Mr. Harrison's podcast to anyone!

-Amarynth 5 stars

I've read with interest the reviews of The Classic Tales podcast. While there is some aftectation of B.J.'s speech, I'm enjoying hearing stories Ive read and others that Ive never read (but probably should have). I make my living as an announcer and voice-over/on-camera person and I have a VERY good understanding of what it takes to produce this kind of content. The fact that it's FREE for all of us makes listening to it while I'm on the road or at night in my bedroom a pleasure and makes any vocal altectation unnoticeable. Thanks, B.J. You're doing good stuff! Keep it up. Rob P.S.: I've made a donation, too.

-Rob Reider 4 stars

Classic tales are a collection of classic short stories. The reader is generally very good, although he occasionally has trouble with female characters. The stories are hit or miss. However, it is good to hear classic tales that I doubt I would ever hear if it was not for this podcast.

-ercoll 5 stars

B.J. Harrison has done a tremendous job of bringing the classics to life in this podcast series. The selections are truly classics: his reading of the tales superb and lively. There is nothing cheesy or heavy about his delivery style so listening is a pleasure. Subscribe. Then check out his website for more of his audio works.

-Thom33 5 stars

What a remarkable podcast. The choice of stories are always delig htfull and the delviery is astounding. This podcast has a truly gifted presenter, you get a real sense of the character's feeling and adittudes, while asisting you too paint the picture of the mind for yourself. Simply wonderful.

-elduche27 5 stars

I'm so grateful to have these stories chosen-for and told-to me in just the right portions by a fine performer. He's got the love for the same fiction that stirs my imagination, and it shows. There's a broad variety, and the choices are uncommon enough that they're fresh and exciting to hear. Ido wish they were single-episode stories only, since I really love the short form, and know there is so much material that fits this length, but I'm not complaining!

-axel_nelson 4 stars

STOP HERE! Listen to this Podcast. B.J Harrison has an incredible ability to really capture the spirit of the works that he reads. His vocal acting abilities really manifest themselves when he is playing multiple parts. The material he chooses are classics for good reason. My first listen was the Hound of the Baskervilles, and I've looked to absorb every audible drop that he has spilled since.

-Dude al'Dude 5 stars

What a great podcast! I love listening to classic stories that have been well recorded. There are some stories that I skip, but that's my choice, no reflection on the quality of the recording. BJ always does a super job!

-jbbbt 5 stars

Mr. Harrison does an excellent job at bringing these books to life in a way that is fun, entertaining, and in no way at all boring if you love great storytelling, then this is the podcast for you!

-podcaster87 5 stars

This is my favorite podcast. I love hearing these stories: sometimes again and sometimes for the first time. The choice of stories is great and I love listening to BJ Harrison read. Hopefully there will be more podcasts like this.

-Pipefiddle 5 stars

Hello! I love these podcasts. But does anyone know what happened to the last 20? It starts on 21 for me.

-Lukcasks 5 stars

I love these stories. PERFECT bedtime material. I put them on my Ipod so Ican listen to them as I lay in bed. Ieven listen to them as I am doing my housework! Classic tales, NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE!! Thank you so much for making these availible to us.

-Blueyeddevilette 5 stars

The stories are entertaining and the reading is of the highest quality. Great for anyone who likes audio storytelling/reading.

-KatieJeanne 5 stars

Harrion's delivery is top-notch and the production quality of this podcast oould not be better. He has introduced me numerous works to which I had heretofore been unexposed. He keeps the material coming at regular intervals and I know hrst hand that he listens to his audience's feedback. He is a one-of-a-kind entertainer.

-Joshua Horne 4 stars

B.J. Harrison's selection of material, coupled with his professional grade production values, has yielded one of the handful of actually meaningful and rewarding podcasts currently available. lf you're into mid-19th to mid-20th century literature (give or take), you will likely find these narrations more than competent. lf you're new to the works, you will likely find yourself drawn into this world. One caveat: recently, Harrison has begun pulling the episodes after about a month and then putting them up for sale, so be sure to stay subscribed in order to get these wonderful narrations free. They'd be worth buying, to be sure, but who wants to pass up something as great as this for free? Check out the website, too, where he offers a handful of exclusive recording, also free!

-Travis Mc Clain 5 stars

My dad positively loves these podcasts. He was raving about them over dinner, multiple days in a row so I had to see for myself. And how perfect! The book I have to read for school is Hound of the Baskervilles! They're great to go to sleep by! I recommend for someone who has trouble going to sleep. These keep you listening and waiting for the next podcast! Thank you!

This podcast is well produced and very well narrated. Mr. Harrison is obviously a gifted voice actor that brings the classics to life. Riki Tiki Tavi was outstanding. Highly recommended!

-Ted Vv 5 stars

Thanks, B.J. for the excellent podcast. I have been thoroughly enjoying listening to your reading of classic literature during my commute.

-itsmatt 5 stars

Out of all the audiobooks I've read specially podcast Mr Harrison is by far the most captivating voice I've heard he is so mesmerizing with his delivery I'd buy every audiobook he does just to hear the professional and passionate story and character he protrays I love this actor perfect.

-de-grapes 5 stars

Mr. Harrison does an excellent job presenting his various short stories, and his selections are always great. If you enjoy classical literature, you'll love this podcast!

-Handmaiden2Christ 5 stars

The short Mystery and horror fiction of the Japanese Mystery writer (pen name) Edagawa Ftampo wound be fantastic to hear. He was one of the foremost mystery writers of his time and is now little known or heard of His pseudo name was a variation of the spelling of Edgar Allan Poe.. His work has been translated beautifully into English and reads exceptionally well. His short story, 'The Human Chair' is one of his very best. lt's incredibly intriguing, suspenseful, and with a twist ending that leaves you astonished. It left me wanting to find and hear more of his fiction. Please bring the author back through your venue. Thank you.

-StrongSincere 5 stars

This is completely worth my time to write a review for this podcast. Mr. Harrrison I feel very blessed that you are giving us your time and amazing voice for free! You are surely being robbed! Someone should be paying you professionally.

-Christine Vawter 5 stars

This is great. I love to listen while I knit. Very well done. Thank you.

-NarumHC 5 stars

This podcast is wicked awesome. He really puts emotion into the stories. Also, it's a great way to read the classics!

-drjessie 5 stars

I am so appreciative to BJ Harrison for this podcast. I love knowing that I can relax with my earbuds in and just go wherever his voice takes me. Good variety of stories from many genres. To those who think his accent is fake or forced: Ive been accused many times of having a fake brittish accent like Madonna but it's not an intentional aftectation. It's just the wierd way that I talk. Cant help it. Give the guy a break.

-BG68EC 4 stars

The reader of this story commits 100%. Carefully and deftly read. I don't often find podcasts this good, which I is why I paid 5 bucks for the whole Tarzan story - well worth it on my commute, so much better than FM radio...

-Gargamello 5 stars

So wonderful! Books that I have always wanted to read but don't find the time. So fun to listen to at work or on the train. You'll LOVE it!

-cholachange 5 stars

I was looking for a podcast about reading and made by professionals (male voice since apparently there's been a bias in gender narrators). This one is an excellent one. Mr. Harrison provides with his proffessionalism when adapting his excellent voice and style to the topic he reads. There's is passion in the work and his natural voice (never over acted neither fake) release the book with a high quality performance. Mr. Harrison is doing a great job here (maybe beyond what he thinks).

-GAHM 5 stars

A wonderful podcast for all who enjoy the classics. Harrison consistently creates high quality recordings, and I find myself coming back to his work time and time again. My thanks!

-Shinna 5 stars

I love these tales! More because of the great narration from BJ. I have not read many fiction books...but after listening to him...I have started exploring a few. Keep up the good work. Cheers

-parveen 5 stars

For podpickers seeking fine literature, delivered in delicious and digestible bite-sized bits, and always served with panache and verve, subscribe now to The Classic Tales Podcast. Coming from a fellow podcaster, Mr. B.J. Harrison is undoubtedly the true master in the field. Be sure to check out his longer offerings on audible.com as well. His five stars are well-deserved. Humbly, The Mystery Man. Who am I? For now ~that must remain a mystery.

-Mystery Man Podcast 5 stars

I love this podcast. It has gotten me through so many long drives and sleepless nights. It's just wonderful. Harrison always chooses great stories and reads them in an engaging manner. He has introduced me to so much literature that I may have never taken the time to discover on my own. Right now I am enjoying his reading of Captain Blood. All his work is excellent, especially his extensive Sherlock Holmes collection!

-Marie Curie Wannabe 5 stars

What I like about reviews is that they are just people's opinions, whether you agree or not... I read the reviews that did not like this podcast and found that most did not care for Mr. Harrison's accent... ok .... maybe it is not the best but what do I know? Can I tell where the character comes from by Mr. Harrison's voice when he gives voice to the characters...? Yes, and to me that is what counts. lf he were to read a character who is obviously English like Holms and he read it in his normal voice...wouId not people criticize him for Americanizing the great Sherlock Holms? Opinions are like noses...everyone has one.

-awalknthepk 5 stars

Wow! I can't believe this awesomeness! It has brightened my world! Entertaining tales, read very well.

-jam0001 5 stars

Very Professional Podcast! B.J. does great voices for the characters of the books and has a wonderful tone and tempo. HIGHLY recommended! You should listen.

-Charybdis Clan 5 stars

Story selection is wonderful and Mr Harrison's Narration is flawless. This man has found his gift. I find myself comparing all other audio book narrators to him as his voice and inflection are so perfect.

-Imagesplus 5 stars

My favorite podcast. Mr Harrison does a much better job at narration than most narrators in expensive audiobooks. I have listened to the podcast since it started and have enjoyed each episode. Keep up the great work BJ.

-chalk1984 5 stars

A great read on Right Ho, Jeeves. These are definitely worth a listen. B J Harrison is quite the engaging reader!

-Raven Ebony 5 stars

B.J. Harrison has, in my opinion, the perfect voice. I love almost all of his character voices, I have not listened to any stories thus far that I have not found enjoyable. This is the only podcast I plan on donating to, it is that good.

-I am disappointed 5 stars

BJ is the reason I have an iPod.

-David L Chautin 5 stars

A year or so ago, I stumbled across the Classic Tales Podcast. I subscribed and downloaded a few episodes for a road trip. I absolutely loved what I heard. B.J. does a great job of narrating and producing a varied selection of classic literature ranging from well-known and popular to the obscure and forgotten. While I'll agree with those who point out various 'flaws' or 'shortcomings', I will also comment that this podcast is given to us FREE of charge. B.J. and his team/friends do a stunning job bringing great selections to us. I'm willing to forgive the occasional mispronunciation or editing mishap. Furthermore, the passion and personality that B.J. brings more than makes up for the 'semi-professional' nature of the podcast (rather than the polished 'professionalism' of a 'random house' or other big publishing house). While there have been some stories I didnt particularly love, there have been tons that I thoroughly enjoyed. These wonderful tales have brightened morning and evening commutes as well as long dreary stretches of nothingness on long drives. Thanks so much BJ. Keep up the great work!

-Chris Okelberry 5 stars

Thank you for another reason to look forward to fridays! Thanks also for a much needed dose of Hercule Poirot! keep the a.c. Coming!

-the baking bird 5 stars

Mr. Harrison is such an amazing narrator. These classics are brought to life. I've enjoyed them so much and highly recommend them!

-Bella Mitzi Dino 5 stars

One of the best. That's all there is to it!

-Barhop 5 stars

I so look forward to these podcasts. The narating is outstanding. I have listened to every single one of the podcasts and have enjoyed them over and over.

-bobmalinky 5 stars

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Mr. Harrison's talent as a flawless reader along with his dramatic character voioes make these classics mme alive. Iam impressed with his ability to switch accents and tones with perfection. One tends to forget that his own speaking voice is quite remarkable in itself.

-callixandrus 5 stars

Thanks, BJ. I'm a believer and a happy contributor. Can't wait for more! I am delighted to support (the reduced price) podcast of Tarzan. Some of the prices for audio books are ridiculous. 79 cents for an episode is fine for me. I would have never picked up the book of Tarzan, but am so glad to be read to as I run.

-Turbochp 5 stars

The world we live in is already awash in non-redemptive, throw-away twaddle. May God bless you for enriching this home-schooling family with the richness of these stories: I just wish they could all be 'Fr. Brown' and 'jeeves'.

-trudog 5 stars

This podcast alone justifies owning an iPod. The narrator has a gift and is able to make every story he reads come alive. It is one of the best podcasts I have found anywhere.

-31415926535 5 stars

Mr. Harrison has the best reading voice and has ruined me for other audiobooks. Where's Friday the 12th's podcast??? I can't go a week without one!

-Cathianne 5 stars

I love B.J Harrison's reading and his selection of stories. I am one who will not listen to something if I find the reading distracting. If you like literature of any kind, it is well worth your time to give it a try.

-ShminUnderscore 5 stars

Great selection of stories, good production quality, excellent performances. Highly recommended.

-msw116 5 stars

Passion in naration, keep it coming.

-WijsMentat 5 stars

This one is a true winner. A wide and diverse selection of well known authors lesser known works. Beautifully read, great character voices... Just all in all very very well done and most enjoyable. I look forward to each weeks episode. I would love to see more Twain and Hawthorne. A must for the lover of books of all sorts.

-harrodguy 5 stars

This is definately one of the best fiction podcasts out there-an excellent selection of great literature read by an actor who's voice pulls you in almost instantly.

-DarkKnightJRK 5 stars

Mr. Harrison presents a wonderful selection of classic literature. I've found plenty of old favorites, as well as some new-to-me gems. Harrison's character voices are delightful - evocative and colorful without being 'over the top'. I also enjoy the brief 'about the author' bit that accompanies each episode. This podcast is a rare and welcome find.

-rooshill 5 stars

Great podcast. Keep up the good work.

-hideousboi 5 stars

This was one of the first podcasts I subscribed to and I am still looking for one that is even close to as good as this. The stories are wonderful, but the best part is B.J. Harrison's telling of them. His voice captures the story, no matter what the accent/feeling perfectly and gives you a clear mental picture of the characters in the book. I love the fact that I get to hear great books that I would never have read on my own!

-Bburden 5 stars

Please re-post 1-67!!! I lost them when my computer crashed. These are so good. I especially loved the Sherlock Holmes. I want them back!!

-Joffadell 4 stars

B.J. is a master narrator. lt is a shame that he doesn't recieve more attention for his fantastic work. The stories are amazing and his voice is perfect. I love listening to the stories. They eat up the hours of work and the miles on the road easily. You'll never regret subscribing. And think about supporting B.J. on his website... I do.

-Benroxknox 5 stars

With his wonderful voice and excellent story choice, B.J. Harrison is churning out gold here, free for nothing. One of my top five favorite podcasts. By far the best literature podcasts I have listened to yet. l'm glad lsubscribed long enough ago to have the whole of 'Heart of Darkness'. Keep up the excellent work B.J.

-J_-_DUB 5 stars

B.J. Harrison presents a wonderfully wide variety of tales and short stories. He is a superb reader who does a fabulous job with voicing different characters. I hope he is able to earn a living off of his clear and wonderful talents. He is better than Scott Brick (who read - and makes less enjoyable) many commercially produced audiobooks. I like B.J.'s idea of running this site as an 'N.P.R.' like subscription and although I missed his September fund drive, I absolutely wish to and will make a donation to his wondeful work. So Mr. Harrison - Keep it up, please!

-Lizzy'sMom 5 stars

I was pleasantly surprised by the masterful interpretation of Jeeves and Wooster. lt was as P.G.Wodehouse intended: captivating, whimsical and very amusing. I almost laughed myself off the motorway at the end. Well done Mr. Harrison.

-BagpyprGarth 5 stars

This is a superb podcast, well read and a nice selection of stories. a little heavier on the horror than other genres, but offeres a really nice mix of classics that ive read with great stories that I've never heard of, but am glad I've heard! Keep up the good work BJ!

-i heart stories 5 stars

I finally get to read/listen to the classics that I've heard so much about. B.J.'s narratives seem to bring me right into the story every time. Not so surprisingly, I seem to have just as difficult a time turning the iPod off as I would putting the book down. Thank You!

-Suprin 5 stars

Some stories, just have to be read aloud... :) I just finished listening to the 6-part Hound tale, and I loved every moment. This is just the kind of story which is best heard rather then read, and I found the narration to be done extremely well, with a great pace and an interesting voice. I have been a fan of this podcast for a while, and have recommended it often to friends. I love hearing anything you have to offer. Thank you B.J. A.Y.

-Yoeli-man 5 stars

B.J. Harrison is, by far, the best reader in the itunes stable. Though much of his competition sounds like the WOPR computer from War Games, this is still a compliment of the highest order. One small caveat: itunes, for some reason, will delete earlier episodes as you acquire new ones, sometimes before you have enjoyed them. What's the deal with that?? Also, please make Mr. Harrisons entire library available for download! Thanks and kudos again to B.J!

-SiddArthur 5 stars

Entertaining and classic. When he reads, I want to curl up next to a fireplace and let my imagination wander. He chooses all the stories I wish I had read. I wholeheartedly recommend this podcast.

-Daisy DD 5 stars

I look forward to this podacast every week. Some stories aren't my favorites, but each person has their own particular likes/dislikes. If it's not my cup o' tea, then I can wait until next week! Thanks for bringing the classics back to life.

-workoutmom2LLL 5 stars

These are absolutely amazing. Very high quality production and great story choices. Thank you for sharing your talent!

-SeattleJazzie 5 stars I have followed The Classic Tales since its first show, and it has only gotten better. Between the varied selection of stories and the time and care B.J. Harrison clearly takes to produce the show, this is the best literature-oriented podcast I've found. My wife and I often spend an evening doing various household tasks while listening, and it's been just a fantastic thing to have.

-rgh11111111111 5 stars

B.J. truly makes these classics come alive. He knows exactly how and where to put the inflectons and emphases so that the sometimes difficult and slightly antiquated language is easily understood, and his vast array of voices make the characters come to life. My favorite so far has been P.G. Wodehouse's 'Leave it to Jeeves.' I would love to hear more of the 'Jeeves' stories!

-gnomes88 5 stars

I have been listening since January 2008. I love classic literature! This is my favorite podcast, I wouldn't trade it for anything else I've listened to. BJ Harrison does a fabulous job in selecting his readings, and a brilliant job of acting. I dare you to find better!

-CJHollowell 5 stars

He has one of the best voices ever. And its free. But I'm sure that I'll got to audible.com to get some of his older books. Keep on reading!!!!!!

-Nathan chiurco 5 stars

These are extremely well done: professional, engaging, and, ultimately, entertaining. I never miss an episode. I can't believe that these are offered for free! The selection is wonderful: I have learned about many great authors that I missed along the way in high school and college. Keep it up B.J.

-Aaron Gray 5 stars

BJ really does these stories justice. Very interesting to listen to.

-Durgenbold 5 stars

This is by FAR the best podcast involving classic literature.

-megamoo6 5 stars

Y'know sometimes i just dont wanna read (or i just can't), what I want is to listen. I want to hear an engaging storyteller do what they do best capture you in their art and that's exactly what you get on the classic tales podcast. B.J. Harrison does a wonderful job at creating mood and bringing older tales to new life. When I'm at work in the factory making box after box I listen to these stories and I feel really good.

-ToRamona 5 stars

I've been listening to podcasts for years, now listening to over 30, and this is currenly my favorite. Excellent voices, soothing pace, and captivating choices.

-elichina86 5 stars

I enjoy these readings very much.

-taco supreme1 5 stars

On Hound of the Baskervilles, part 5's link is undownloadable. Other than that, I love the tales, and the reading. It's good stuff, cheap. Please resubmit part 5...I hate skipping an episode.

-rosamindy 3 stars

I really enjoyed this podcast and love classic stories...until I listened to it one too many times. If I could make a request to Mr. Harrison, it would be to use his natural voice for ALL his characters while he reads. Sorry! It just gets a little old to hear the same 'dramatic' voices in almost every tale-ESPECIALLY the female voices! Oh, dear-the forced falsetto for female voices right in my ear (don't most of us listen to these on our iPods?) makes me cringe. I do appreciate the podcast, but I can't listen to them anymore because the voices haunt me!

-Jeanne M 3 stars

Great readings of stories I wouldn't have heard otherwise.

-grulig690 5 stars

Never fails to satisfy. Week after week BJ delivers top notch voice acting, smooth delivery, and superb character voices. Keep up the excellent work BJ!!!

-KnockOut17 5 stars

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Wonderful stories and presented in a very professional way. Great job.

-Klmaynard 5 stars

I am obsessed with audio books but they are so expensive! I was so relieved to find some free selections on i-tunes and was particularly blown away by BJ Harrison's amazing story telling skills. Free doesn't mean cheap or cheesy. I love it!! + I feel smarter.

-Kedge1223 5 stars

Thank you for this marvelous podcast. It is my favorite. The choice of stories, the reading, everything makes it a pleasure.

-NaasPreacher 5 stars

These presentations of exciting classic tales make the black and white of print come alive in a flourish of color. Kids and adults can find the enjoyment of reading through these readings.

-haleybill 5 stars

This was the first podcast I subscribed to and I will never cancel it. I have never read most of these stories and listening to them now while driving keeps me awake and entertained. The narrator has for sure found his talent. I still cant believe I get to hear all of this for free.

-amberdini 5 stars

This is a great show. Great narrator. Keep it up please.

-Nick from Denver 5 stars

The delivery is great and the content is exactly as advertised, Classic Tales. I will be a subscriber as long as this is available.

-menzi 5 stars

I have been listening to audio books (talking books as we used to call them) since 1966. My Mother is legally blind so she always had them playing all throughout my childhood. I remember, at 5 years old laying next to her in the dark on a hot summer's night, listening to the narrator's 1950's cadenced voice. The unemotional and detached air of the reading seemed somehow peculiar to my 5 year old mind given the nature of the story. The book was 'ln Cold Blood' by Truman Capote. I have to say that I truly enjoy and appreciate BJ Harrison's renditions of the classic tales. He has raised narration to an art form. I particulary liked Tarzan and am looking forward to starting Great Expectations. BJ, Truman Capote remains my favorite author-and even though this story may not yet be thought of as 'classic' it will be shortly. So if you ever want to give 'Breakfast at `Tiffany's' a try, I would be truly greatful.

-C Vislay 5 stars

I've been listening to The Classic Tales podcast since it first began. I cant' say enough good things about it! B.J. Harrison's voice work is excellent, giving distinct life to multiple characters with consistency, excitement and flair. This podcast has opened my world to wonderful works of literature that I honestly would never have read on my own. I listen to Mr. Harrison's work each week as I drive long distances to visit clients. I have purchased each of the audiobooks he's offered through the site as well, with Tarzan being my hands-down favorite. I encourage you to subscribe to the free podcast and to support this wonderful endeavor by purchasing the books and donating during the fund drives.

-RobinTracy 5 stars

B.J. continues to do a great job. I'd like to hear his rendition of Robert Heinlein's Glory Fload or Pat Frank's post-apocalyptic Alas, Babylon. I'd also like to see the entire collection archived on iTunes. I've recommended him to others, and it would be nice if they had a pick of the best gone by.

-cetok01 4 stars

B.J. Harrison's voice and intonation are outstanding. I used to think the late great Frank Muller was the best reader I'd heard but now...well, it's a tie.

-Agki 5 stars

If you like to listen to stories this is the podcast to listen to. He makes the Classics so great to listen to. Some time reading them it is hard to get into the story but the voice over is great!!

-Min 5 stars

Great stuff for the ears.

-Ebwok 5 stars

The way these stories are read, it is very easy to listen to them. BJ Harrison is very talented. This podcast is well worth downloading.

-Audio Book Fan 5 stars

BJ Harrisons's reading of these classic novels and short stories brings them to life like few others. I am currently listening to Frankenstein and his vocalizing of the long monologue of the creature is captivating. The subtle slurring of its speech, but the underlying nobility speech makes me long for the time in the car when I can listen to the podcast.

-sjames_1958 5 stars

I just paid for and downloaded 'The Invisible Man' by H. G. Wells. Hilarious reading! So enjoyable I hardly know where to start. BJ is doing great work on behalf of great literature.

-mys7 5 stars

Mr. Harrison has a spectacular talent. The stories come to life when he reads them. I love classic literature, but I am not able to find the time to read, so I listen to this podcast at work. There have been several times where I was disappointed that it was quitting time because I would have to wait until the next day to find out what happens. Thank you, Mr. Harrison, for sharing your gift with us! Oh, I wanted to say one more thing about his 'accent'. He does not have one that I can pick out. In fact, I believe for most of his characters, he simply speaks with a non-regional accent and uses proper grammar. I guess that is why the few people leaving bad comments are confused. It isn't an accent, it is proper grammar and diction.

-C.L. Parson 5 stars

I am a teenage bookworm with a taste for classic literature, and this is an incredible podcast. B.J Harrison, you have an amazing talent, and if you are reading this, thank you for providing such a wonderful treasure trove of knowledge to the world.

-iLoveWho 5 stars

As a high school English teacher, I just love this podcast. I have an hour commute to work and the stories keep me awake and alert while I am driving. I wish I could read with my students the way Mr. Harrison does - he gets into the characters and it's like I'm there in the tale. Even as a teacher I haven't read everything out there and I am constantly exposed to new stories by either authors I love or authors I can't stand. I am surprised that sometimes I simply love a story by an author that I thought I didn't like (Mark Twain, for example). Keep up the great work!!

-HS_English_Teacher 5 stars

Entertaining, wholesome, and worthwhile. My husband and I love this podcast, and our kids enjoy it, too!

-Beckstarrrunner 5 stars

I think this is one of the best podcast's itunes has to offer.

-tmk2009 5 stars

This podcast has just gotten better over time. The selection is generally very good and B.J. Harrison has become a master story teller-he draws you into the story wonderfully. He also is very faithful in posting each episode-something I really appreciate! A great escape into the world of literature!!

-Kydiana 5 stars

These classics are read with clarity and perfect pace. For those who wish they had the time to read, but don't this is the perfect solution. B.J. reads with tone and voice inflections that hold your interest while adding depth to the story. He brings the classics to life.

-Happy Housewife 5 stars

I love BJ! This is a wonderful way to bring literary classics to the 21st century.

-Frank Keasy 5 stars

I really enjoyed the Cthlulu show. It was great with the wonderful performances of the work.

-Jeff Barron 5 stars

The Classic Tales is by far my favorite audiobook podcast. B J Harrison's voice is pleasant to listen to, and I can scarcely believe the numerous character voices he comes up with. I simply adore The Classic Tales!

-KaElWa 5 stars

His voice is nothing less of mesmerizing which goes hand in hand with his exceptional choices of literature that he reads...or a better term, performs. From classics like The Scarlet Pimpernel( which happens to be one of my favorite books) to the masterpieces of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. We listeners are blessed and somewhat spoiled( in a good way) to have should this man exhibit his talent. I assure you these will not be a waste of your time. Happy Listening!

-Fa sol latido 5 stars

Absolutely stellar work from B.J. Harrison. A voice that's easy on the ears, and tales that are timeless. I usually find audio spoken word unbearable, but Mr. Harrison makes it a joy!

-Jarrod Willard 5 stars

B.J. Harrison easily makes all the classics just a click away! I have been listening since the first, not one minute was wasted. Such a source should not be wasted or looked over! Give it a listen, you will be hooked! Great job B.J., Thank you for your efforts!

-Cprstilgar 5 stars

I love this podcast. The selections are wonderful. While the authors are usually famous, many of the stories are lesser known gems. The production is always high. And yet, B.J. is constantly seeking ways to improve. Thank you, B.J., for your devotion to this podcast. Thank you for your time. And thank you for the first 100 stories. I am looking forward to the next 100.

-WACO GLENNON 5 stars

This is by far my favorite podcast out of all the ones I subscribe to. I look forward to a new episode and have never been let down. The story selection and audio quality are A1.

-Kristor Gervat 5 stars

Of all the pocasts I've discovered in the last few years, this is the absolute best. As narrators go, BJ is one of the best I've ever heard. The last 100 episodes have clued me in on some great authors that |would've never heard of otherwise. My wife and I also appreciate the very low priced full-length novels that BJ has made available. Keep up the good work!

-the lattes 5 stars

I gave this podcast a shot, but I honestly did not have high hopes. Boy was I surprised! The reader's voice is excellent – very pleasant to listen to, and differentiate characters without being over-the-top. I would never have expected Frankenstein to be an enjoyable audiobook, or that the book was so different than the movies. Thanks for a great podcast, for all your work in recording these, and especially for allowing me to enjoy a classic book that I never would have picked off the shelf.

-digitalfauxtographer 5 stars

As a former English major I've been through a lot of literature but BJ consistently finds great stuff I've never read. I've been downloading since the beginning and the quality is top notch every week.

-tallbaby21 5 stars

My mom downloaded this podcast first, but, one day I was bored and tried out Frankenstien. B. J. Harrison has a great voice and.. not really words to describe it. Just listen!

-Tom Norris 5 stars

I've just spent some time reading through the posted reviews of BJ's podcast, and while the vast majority of reviewers enjoy it very much, a small number of them are quite annoyed by BJ's voice, accents, enthusiasm, etc. I've been listening to this podcast regularly since episode one and absolutely love it. I've listened to his other works and will oontinue to do so. I prefer the stories that lighter stories from this podcast (Jeeves, etc.). I find the production values to be first rate and BJ has a high standard of quality to his narration. I will oontinue to listen and recommend The Classic Tales Podcast to others. I believe BJ could have a bright future narrating audiobooks professionally and I for one, would listen.

-Steve Lavender 5 stars

I wish I had found this sooner. Mr. Harrison reads so well. The characters just come to life. I look forward to each installment and can't wait for it to download. Thank you Mr. Harrison. I will be visiting the website.
